A heart-shaped diamond makes the outline of the stone part of the message. For a 5 ct ring, it is worth spending as much time on that outline as on the carat specification: the two lobes, central cleft and lower point will define the ring every time you look at it.
MISSISSI Heart Fold places one heart-shaped lab-grown diamond above polished, open triangular shoulders. The center is specified at 5 ct, E color and VVS clarity, with four side claws and a V-shaped point protector. There is no halo or accent diamond to interrupt the single-stone composition.
Read the heart from cleft to point
Start with a face-up view. Imagine a line from the indentation between the upper lobes to the bottom point, then compare the two halves. Look for an outline whose curves feel balanced and whose heart shape is easy to recognize. GIA's guide to heart-shaped diamonds emphasizes the relationship between the lobes, cleft and point when assessing symmetry.
Next, consider the shape you actually enjoy. A broad heart and a more elongated one can give different impressions. Rather than choosing by a ratio alone, compare the selected stone's measurements with its face-up appearance. Ask to see it in motion as well, so a single flattering photograph does not become the entire basis for your decision.

Use measurements to understand five carats
The 5 ct figure refers to the center diamond, which is the only diamond in Heart Fold. The open shoulders are polished metal; they contain no hidden pavé or side stones. This makes the design's weight description straightforward, while leaving the center's physical proportions important to confirm.
Carat measures weight, so it does not supply the diamond's length, width or height. Request those measurements for the selected heart, along with the finished setting height. A hand visualization can help communicate the design, but it should not replace dimensions when deciding how the ring will sit on your finger.

Look closely at the point and open shoulders
Heart Fold's V-shaped protector follows the lower point, while four side claws hold the center around its sides. GIA notes that the point of a heart-shaped diamond deserves protection because it is vulnerable to damage. That is a reason to examine this part of the setting closely, rather than assume any large heart is suitable for the same mounting.
The triangular openings are a separate design feature. They allow the polished shoulders to fold toward the center with visible space beneath the stone. Request a side view to understand the profile, including the clearance under the heart and how the shoulders meet the band. If you plan to pair the ring with another band, discuss the two profiles together before ordering.
Keep the stone specification and imagery distinct
Heart Fold is made to order. Its center will be selected to meet the stated 5 ct, E-color and VVS-clarity specification before manufacturing; the gallery illustrates the design rather than an allocated diamond. Ask what selected-stone information can be shared before production and which details will be recorded with your order.
Grading-report availability also needs confirmation for the selected center. No particular laboratory or report number is represented by the design images. The useful buying conversation combines the stated specifications with a view of the actual diamond, its measurements and the final setting details.
Choose the metal with the whole ring in mind
The five available options are 14K yellow gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K white gold and PT950 platinum. Each uses the selected metal throughout the ring, retaining the same setting design. The current gallery shows yellow gold.
Consider which metal color you prefer around the white heart and alongside jewelry you already wear. Heart Fold is offered in US sizes 4–11, including half sizes. If your size is unlisted or you want an engraving or design adjustment, discuss feasibility, pricing and preparation time before making the order.
